Insurance Coverage

Majority of government insurance policies such as Medicare, Medicaid, and TriCare cover ambulance transportation which is medically necessary.  Commercial insurance and employer group plans vary greatly on the type of ambulance transportation they provide coverage for.

We will work closely with your insurance company to obtain ambulance benefits, coverage and prior authorization information for all ambulance transports.  Teaming up with you, your family, case managers and social workers allows us to gather pertinent information need to avoid unwarranted ambulance bills being sent to you.  Timely ambulance authorization requests can play a critical part in getting you to your appointment the day of the scheduled transport.

An itemized invoice will be issued for services provided with the balance due no later than thirty (30) days. Patients have the option to make payments by phone or establish payment arrangements by contacting United’s Billing department.  United accepts personal cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express.
